Citybox Hotel Description

Self check in citybox hotel Oslo

Citybox is unlike other hotels in which you’ve stayed! It’s essentially a self-service hotel, but don’t worry – they have humans on the property for additional support. This means that you book your room, complete the payment, and then check-in and out on your own. Since Citybox doesn’t have a traditional reception counter, they can offer excellent prices without sacrificing quality.

Let’s take a look at some different aspects of this cheap hotel in Oslo:

This property is located in a central part of the city, allowing easy access to the city center’s main street and central station (all walking distance). One of the best things is that you’re close to many places, including lots of different restaurants and cafés. And since this hotel doesn’t offer a breakfast, you’ll appreciate this during your stay!

The only drawback to the Citybox Hotel Oslo is that it’s situated on a busy street, so if you want a quiet room, be sure to request the backside of the building.

The Citybox Hotel doesn’t have much to offer as far as facilities go. Though, you will find a small shared kitchen with vending machines on the first floor, and also a comfy lounge where you can watch television. Since the rooms do not have TVs, this is a great place to relax after a long day of visiting Oslo attractions. They also offer three conference rooms which follow a modern concept and are very affordable.

Upon entering the property, you’ll find self-service check-in kiosks, but you won’t find a live person standing behind a traditional counter. This streamlined process is the same for check-out as well, so there’s no need to worry about standing in long lines before leaving the hotel.

Citybox Hotel Oslo Room Accommodations

The Citybox Oslo has several room types to choose from, and depending on the one you book, will determine if you have a nice amount of space or not. The small double rooms are big enough for most, but for a bit more comfort you could choose the slightly larger standard double or twin. However, if you’re traveling with your loved ones you should opt for a family room. A Junior Suit is also available for those who wants the little extra.

The good news is that the accommodations are immaculate regardless of which room type you pick, and they have nice bathrooms. The room decor is fresh and modern yet simple. Every room has a desk, chair, reading lamp, nightstand, and an area to hang your clothes. As I mentioned, none of the rooms have TVs, but there is a lounge on the first floor.

It’s important also to note that depending on the length of your stay, the rooms are only cleaned once per week. So, if you’re only staying for four nights, your room will not be cleaned during the stay unless you pay for an additional cleaning.
